A memorial dedicated to the American and Marianas people who died in "Operation Forager," the battles for Saipan and Tinian, and the Battle of The Philippine Sea during World War II. The initial waves of the 2nd and 4th U.S. Marine Divisions stormed the narrow beach head at Saipan on June 15, 1944. For 2,875 Marines this would be their last invasion.
