1860 MI. census lists a Arthur as 3 yrs. old (our Arthur would have been 18). They are living in Lenawee Co. MI. This Arthur is listed with mother Martha 42 and brother Frank 1 1/2. Have been unable to track this Martha after 1860 census, what happened to her and her husband?

Arthur and Caroline named a child Franklyn who died before a yr old. Is this also a coincidence as the above Arthur had brother Frank?

1900 MI. census lists him as 46 and wife as 50.
1910 MI. census lists him as 57 and wife as 59.
1920 MI census lists him as 66 and wife as 69.

It is not know if Dianthia Bates was a Younglove or just buried on Younglove Plot. (I believe this to be Caroline's mother and it was assumed and miss read by the DAR that she was a Younglove because she is buried on the Younglove Plot.

There also seems to be some errors in either the birth year or the ages. Arthur is listed as 20 on the marriage record and Caroline is listed as 22. This is in 1872. Arthur would have been b. 1852 and Caroline 1850.

On the cemetery inscription she is listed as b.1840 and he b.1842. Also, the witnesses to the marriage which took place on 15 Dec 1872, were James C. Bates and Dianthia Bates, which is probably Caroline's parents.

A.S. Younglove Victim of auto mishap Tuesday.

Former Resident of Rice Creek Killed Near Jackson While on Way Home After Wife's Burial Near This City.

"Arthur S. Younglove of Onsted aged about 70 years, was killed when his automobile collided with a car driven by Al Churchill aged 18, of Liberty, at Sheldon Corners, two and a half miles south of the Stone blacksmith shop about 2 p.m. Death was caused by a fractured skull, according to Coroner John Pulling, who was called. Younglove, who was returning from his wife's funeral at Rice Creek, near Albion, where he formerly lived, was driving east and Churchill was coming north. Both cars were going at a moderate rate of speed, according to witnesses, and it appeared that when Churchill put on his brakes his car skidded several rods. Churchill's machine caught the right rear wheel of the other machine turning it over. The front wheel of Younglove's car was resting on his chest, when he was found and he apparently had been knocked through the windshield said Corner Pulling. His chest was crushed, according to a sheriff's officer who investigated; both men had been riding alone.

Churchill, who was cut about the head was taken to Foote hospital where it stated his injuries were not serious and that he would be able to return home in a few days. Both cars were found in the ditch east of the road, wrecked. Younglove's wife who died last Saturday was buried near Albion Monday morning. One son Harvey and his three children survive. An inquest will be held at 7 p.m. at the courthouse, Coroner Pulling announced."

On the death record of Arthur Younglove at the Jackson court house a mother is listed with the name Flemming or Flimming no first name, father is listed as unknown.

His marriage record said he was born in Adrian, MI. They were both living in Rome MI at the time of the marriage.
